We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
• Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 coding systems
• Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and discrepancies
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients, and post them to patient accounts
• Prepare and send patient statements for outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate records of all billing activities

Experience

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-9
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
• Ability to work independently and meet deadline

This is an in-person full-time position, Monday thru Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
